Sentience is a next‑generation Web3 and AI portal that unites blockchain and artificial intelligence in one seamless experience. It streamlines crypto, NFT, and token interactions within the SingularityNET ecosystem. As lead designer, I collaborated with their team to craft the user interfaces for both the Chrome extension and mobile app.
Sentience needed a secure, intuitive wallet that made managing crypto assets and using dApps effortless across desktop and mobile. Unlike many fragmented Web3 wallets, it had to deliver a consistent, trustworthy interface that simplified complex blockchain actions into clear, guided flows whether in a compact Chrome extension or a mobile‑first experience.
As UI design lead, I developed Sentience’s visual identity using sharp pink accents over deep purples to convey futuristic sophistication. I embraced a subtle Neumorphic style gentle shadows, gradients, and embossed details to add tactile realism and softness to the digital experience. This approach made key actions stand out naturally, guiding users through complex crypto interactions with clarity and confidence across both Chrome extension and mobile interfaces.

I followed Sentience’s UI guidelines to create a cohesive, Neumorphism‑inspired interface with soft shadows, gradients, and embossed details in the brand’s pink‑purple palette for a refined, tactile feel. Working over an open‑source wallet foundation, I focused on enhancing the visual hierarchy and call‑to‑action clarity elevating usability and coherence without altering the core transaction logic across SingularityNET’s dApps.

For Sentience’s mobile app, I applied the same Neumorphic visual language soft shadows, gradients, and embossed effects in the signature pink‑purple palette to create a tactile, touch‑friendly experience. Due to Android Studio’s performance limits, I optimized by reducing depth intensity and simplifying layers, balancing visual richness with smooth responsiveness to maintain the wallet’s immersive, high‑end feel.

Project Launch and Early Traction
Sentience ID launched its core platform features around mid-2024, with the Chrome extension going public on October 17, 2024, via the Chrome Web Store, while the mobile app remains in development as an upcoming feature within the SingularityNET ecosystem. As the UI design lead, my intuitive interfaces for both the extension and app supported around 500 global users by Q3 2024, driving steady growth through streamlined crypto, NFT, and token management that reduced onboarding friction and fostered cross-chain dApp interactions.
Design Impact on Adoption
My neumorphic UI featuring tactile shadows, gradients, and the signature pink-purple palette minimized user drop-offs by prioritizing accessibility, thumb-friendly CTAs, and low cognitive load, directly enhancing engagement and data sovereignty for SingularityNET users. This user-centric approach not only amplified early traction but also positioned Sentience ID as a key enabler for democratizing decentralized AI tools, paving the way for broader ecosystem adoption.
Balancing Constraints in Open-Source UX
Working within an open-source crypto wallet taught me to maximize impact through surface-level UI enhancements like Neumorphism shadows and intuitive CTAs when core UX flows can't be altered, emphasizing strategic adaptation over full redesign for faster delivery and ecosystem compatibility.
Mobile app development constraints
Sentience's mobile UI constraints taught me to adapt Neumorphism effects for Android Studio by simplifying shadows into static images, balancing visual depth with performance to avoid memory lag. This honed my skill in platform-adaptive restraint over uncompromising aesthetics.
